Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
this movie was kick ass! I'm not gonna tell you anything about it, but you definitely have to see it. Best Star Wars movie ever! I even liked it better than any of the movies from the original trilogy, and I love the original trilogy. Go see this movie. Go now!!!

    comics, comics, and more comics
had a big week in comics this week. The final issue of Spectacular Spider-Man came out. That was my fav Spidey title, I'm gonna miss it. But at least I have all 27 issues of it. In Wolverine #27, Wolverine returned to his bad self and took out a lot of supervillains in his usual beserker rage. X-Men #169 showed us a darker side to the X-Men, as they battled their internal demons. JLA #113 continues the Justice League of America vs the Crime Syndicate of Amerika storyline. JLA: Classified # 6 shows our heroes serving up greasy burgers in Hell (no, really). The OMAC Project #1 shows us a glimpse of what may be Batman's greatest weapon and the universes worst nightmare. Space Ghost #6 shows our hero fighting off the invading forces of the Zorathians, led by their leader Zorak. One of my personal favorites, New Aveners #5 has our heroes in the Savage Land meeting up with Wolverine, and then getting ambushed by the Mutates. X-Men: Age of Apocalypse #6 finally comes out after being a month overdue. X-Men: Phoenix: Endsong finally ends, wonder how long it'll be til Jean Grey/Phoenix returns once again. And another one of my favs, Superman/Batman #19 not only shows our two heroes but Supergirl and Batgirl(sorta) as well. Dang, way to drop the bank Toby.

    Godzilla: Final Wars
I somehow forgot to talk about this earlier, but the manager at my local comic shop Mike let me borrow his copy of Godzilla: Final Wars. There's only one problem, it's entirely in Japanese; no english dubbing or subtitles. Figures though, the movie only came out in Japan last winter. This is being advertised as the very last Godzilla movie, and if that's true then they saved the best for last cuz this one was truly awesome. Sure, I couldn't understand what they were saying, but you could tell what was going on. And there was plenty of action, not just with the monsters but there were plenty of human fight scenes as well. And this movie featured over 10 monsters, including Godzilla, Mothra. Monster X, Hedorah, Rodan, Anguirus, Gigan, Manda, Kumunga, Kamakaris, Ebirah, Minya, and King Caesar. I made Jake and Scott watch it, and they actually liked it. I can't wait for it to be released on DVD here in the US.

We got the last one mother f***ers!!!
that's what I wanted to say on our way out as me, Rob, Steve, Tony, Adam, Will, Ryan, and Jeff got the last two quads in Seybert Residence Hall. We got lucky, and they're right next to each other. That's what we were trying to do, get two quads that are near each other and what do you know, we got two that are right next door to each other. Next year's gonna be fun. On our way out, they announced that all the quads in Seybert are now taken. I wanted to taunt everybody that was left, but I probably woulda gotten beat down.

    second date
well after class today, I drove all the way from Naperville to Lake Geneva for my second date with Melissa. It went rather well, we watched the Pacifier (which was actually pretty funny) and then went to Applebee's. After that, we just hung out and talked for about an hour. All in all, this relationship is off to a good start. Sure the drive was long, but it was worth it to spend time with her. I left sometime after 3 pm, and got back tonite at 11:30. Hope my car survives this. That's all for now kids. Catch you later.

    It's been a while
well it is now the second day of the second week of the Spring Term here at North Central College. And of course, I am given more reasons to hate this school. Since I know work 4-6:30 Tuesday thru Thursdays, in addition to 4-9 on Fridays and 9-noon on Saturdays I'm no longer on campus for dinner. Plus I'm never around on the weekends. So I changed my meal plan. See I was on a plan where you had 90 meals at the dining hall and $100 to spend at the cafeteria. So I changed it to only 50 meals at the dining hall (since I'm not around as much) and guess how much they gave me for the cafeteria: $125! Yep, that's right folks. By giving up 40 meals at the dining hall I now have an extra $25 to spend at the cafeteria. Cheap bastards, I really really hate this school. An extra $25 to spend at the cafeteria will not last me the rest of this term. I'm telling you this school (and most college campuses) are only concerned with your money. It cost some $35,000 to go to school here this year. I spend more than $200 dollars on books each term only to get a grand total of $11 when I sell them back. The food sux, most my professors are assholes (except for Professors Lehe and Mueller, I love those guys). I'm telling you, it really pisses me off. And I know I'm not alone in this, friends of mine at this school, and other campuses, go through the exact same thing. I'm just trying to get an education so I can make something of myself, it shouldn't cost me an arm and a leg while at the same time putting me into debt for the better part of my adult laugh. Ok, so I'm exaggerating a little but it's total bullshit. Ok, that's the end of that rant.

On a more positive note, it's been cool seeing all my buddies again (Rob, Steve, Katie, Tony, etc...). And I get to see Melissa again this Thursday. We're meeting in Lake Geneva again, but there may be a slight problem. I have $26 in my wallet. My car will need gas for the trip. So I'm hoping I can get by with $15 worth of gas so that I still have $11 to spend. We're gonna see a movie and maybe get something to eat, but $11 is probably only going to cover me. I'll feel like a cheap ass if I'm not able to as least pay for the both of us at the movie. So I'm gonna inform her of my financial predicament the next time we talk and see if she still wants to get together or wait til I get paid this weekend.

Well, that's all for now kiddies. I gotta figure out what classes I need to take next term. I'm done with Religious Studies, all my requirements will be taken care of by the end of this term. And I've done all my gen eds. But I'm like a couple credits behind so I gotta figure out what classes to take this fall. Unfortunately my advisor was not in her office and did not have a schedule posted on her door so I have no idea when she'll be in. Did I mention how I hate this school? Ah well, I'm sure I'll figure something out. I promise my next entry won't be so whiny. Later.

video games, video games, and more video games
Yesterday I bought Star Fox: Assault for my Nintendo Gamecube. It's a pretty sweet game, but kinda short. I beat it after playing for five hours straight. Only problem with it is that it needs more Arwing missions. I loved the space combat levels, and althought the missions on foot or in the Landmaster were fun, nothing beats flying around in an Arwing.

Last nite my pals Scott and Jake came over for some late nite game action. We tried out the Star Fox multi-player, then moved on to Mario Kart and Smash Bros. As always, me and Jake ganged up on Scott during Smash Bros. But once Scott was knocked out of the way I would immediately turn on Jake. It was awesome. During Mario Kart, Jake was about to cross the finish line when I nailed him with a Spiny Shell. It was hilarious, he flew into the air as I crossed the finish line. Me and Scott laughed so hard we couldn't breathe. There were other memorable Mario Kart moments, but you really had to be there to appreciate them all.

Now I'm back on campus, the new term starts tomorrow. Hopefully I'll see some of my buds and get to hang out tonite. Then it's back the old grind tomorrow. Check you later.

yesterday was a very good day
Yesterday I drove all the way up to Lake Geneva to have lunch with a girl. Yes, I know. It's hard to believe but it's true. Her name is Melissa and we met through eharmony.com. We've been talking online for over 2 months now, and we finally got to meet. I think it went rather well. Even though it was our first time meeting, I really wasn't nervous. It was kinda familiar really. Anyway, hopefully we'll spend some time together again soon. She lives all the way up in Burlington, WI. So it's not like we'll get to see each other all the time, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It'll help us appreciate each other more. Anyway, I really like her so here's hoping it all works out.

After that, I went to work. It was kinda boring, and I got a painful headache too. I don't know why, it just hit me while I was at work. Afterwards, I hung out with my friends Jake, Scott, and Natalie. We watched Mortal Kombat (the movie), and then went to our friend Bonnie's house. It was her birthday, so we went over and hung out while eating cake. We couldn't stay long cuz we all drove together, and Scott's parents wanted him home (they're a lil controlling). Then me, Jake, and Natalie watched Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (the second movie). Heh, it was a Mortal Kombat theme nite I guess.

I've been able to hang out with my friends a lot this week since it's Spring Break. Early this week on Sunday, we all hung out at IHOP. It was me, Jake, Scott, Natalie, Bonnie, and Breinne. Afterwards, me, Jake, and Scott went back to my house to watch Alien vs Predator. Both me and Jake love that movie, but Scott had never seen it. And he fell in love with it as well. Afterwards, we played some Mario Kart: Double Dash and Super Smash Bros Melee. Then I made them watch Transformers: The Movie. I think they liked it, but they had trouble getting past the 80's soundtrack. I don't know why, that soundtrack is awesome! "You've got the touch. You've got the pow-uuuur!"

On Tuesday, after work I went to Elevate. It's a campus ministry at Elgin Community College that I was a leader in back when I went to school there. Cept back then it was called SCF (Spartan Christian Fellowship). I don't really know why they changed the name but whatever. After, the usual crew (me, Jake, Scott, Natalie, and our friend Gary) went back to Natalie's house for (you guessed it) Mario Kart and Smash Bros. I'm beginning to think they're only using me for my Gamecube. Anyway, in Smash Bros me and Jake teamed up on Scott and CPU character. It was pretty brutal the way we picked on him, but funny too.

And that's the gist of my Spring break so far. Hope you guys enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to see Rob and all my other NCC buddies when we start school again this Sunday. Until then, take care and God Bless <><

    the saga is now complete
The winter term is over, and so begins spring break. Today was interesting to say the least, I was up til 3 am (again), finishing a take home exam for my religions of china class. This morning, we turned in our exam and took a brief test with 25 multiple choice questions. Not too shabby really. As we stood there waiting for our professor to show up, I realized that I forgot to print out my exam. So I ran to the computer lab to print it out, and ran back to class, still arriving five minutes before the professor. We took the quiz, and I was out of their in less than five minutes. After packing up my stuff, I met up with my campus homies: Rob, Steve, Tyler, and Tony. We decided to get our lunch on over at Kaufman, and they actually had food I liked. I helped myself to some chicken sandwiches, as well as some boston creme pie and pumpkin pie (my two favorite kinds of pie). But alas, it was too good to be true, the pumpkin pie was warmer than a pair of dog balls, and the boston creme pie was frozen. I just can't win. Anyway, the five of us sat together, along with our friend Dani, just sitting around laughing it up. We're all pretty random people, me and Rob spent the time quoting Strong Bad and Homestar Runner, while Tony and Tyler quoted Ace Ventura. Oh, and we also got into a discussion about how we think Steve's sister, Shannon, is hot. It was pretty funny. Ah, good times. After that, we said our good byes as I left North Central College. I also got to go to the comic book store and pick up some new comics, I love Wednesdays. Hope everybody has a good spring break. The only good part about going back to school on the 28th is being able to see my crew again.

Oh, and I almost forgot. Ryan, or as I like to call him "the Coz," got some new speedos the other day and walked around Fort Hill (his dorm) showing it off. It was hilarious, random people would be walking down the hall and be like "what the crap?!" It was pretty funny, here's a pic.

    One down, two to go
I finished my 25 page paper this morning. I was up til 3 am; what can I say I'm a procrastinator that suffers from ADD. Not only do I wait til the last minute, but I get easily distracted. Anyway, I still have to finish my takehome final for Religions of China and a seven page paper for Judaism. That Judaism class was messed up, we didn't even learn much about Jewish practices except for when we watched a video on Hasidism and when we went to synagogue. Oh, and get this: trimesters are ten weeks long. Yet for some reason that boggles my mind, we had our midterm during third week and our final during seventh week. And even though we took our final exam, we still had class for the remaining three weeks. Messed. Up. Seriously. Oh, and they stupid bookstore would only buy back my books for like $1.50, $2.00, or $3.00. It came out to a grand total of $9.50. What a ripoff, I decided to keep them. Maybe I can sell them online or sell them back when the class is offered again.

Anyway, enough about that. Right now my brain is still fried, so I'm vegging. Turns out Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom is finally complete. This is one of my all time favorite web cartoons. If you love the Mario games, check it out at http://www.videogamedc.com/

Well that's all for now kiddies. Until next time take care and God Bless <>

    HOLY FLIRKING SHNIT!!!
aw, stupid papers are destroying my mind. My sanity hangs in the balance. I'll go eat some grub, let myself relax a bit before I get back to work. Man, spring break can't get here soon enough. All I gotta do is get these papers done and I'm home free. If you've read Rob's journal, then you already know about the hilarity that ensued last nite during dinner. We totally ruined the song "Butterfly Kisses" for this girl Kara that we know. This past Saturday nite was also fun, me and Rob watched Alien vs Predator. He had never seen it before and thought it was quite awesome. And it is, particularly that one fight scene where the Predator grabs an alien by the tail and bashes him against the walls. Later, I watched Shark Tale with Steve, Dani, and Jeff. It was ok, I liked the Incredibles better. Oh, and Rob made this sweet video using video footage and pictures of our crazy group of friends on campus. The only problem is that there isn't any footage of me, but there are 2 pictures. I suppose that's good enough. Anyway, that's all for now. Sniff you jerks later.

today has been a pretty good day. My Judaism class went to the Beth Shalom synagogue here in Naperville. It was pretty cool, I enjoy learning more about my Jewish heritage. If I didn't work on Friday nights and Saturday mornings, I would definitely attend. Lunch was also good today, which is rare for Kaufman. For those of you who don't know, Kaufman sux. But today, they had hot dogs, french fries, sundaes, boston creme pie, and pudding. I was stuffed. So yeah, that's the extent of my day so far. I know you found that exciting. The only other thing I got going on for me is my mad scheme to conquer the world. More on that next time. Peace out, homies.

    well, here goes
I decided to go ahead and give this online journal thing a try since two other friends of mine (rob84 and ~nccbowie) are also on here. Right now it's 10th week at school, which means finals are right around then corner. And after that: SPRING BREAK!!! I really don't have anything planned, I'll probably just end up working and hanging out with friends whenever the moment allows. Anyway, that's all I got for now. Later.
